Caroline Long Berko
Originally from Kansas City, received her BFA in Ballet and Business degree from Texas Christian University on a dance scholarship. She began her training at the Kansas City Ballet School under the direction of Alecia Good, where she participated in the Young Tanzommer festival in Austria. Caroline has attended the summer programs of notable dance companies including those of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Ballet Austin, Kansas City Ballet and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Her favorite performing experiences include Gerald Arpino’s Birthday Variations, restaged by Willy Shives, “Four Little Swans” and “Italian Variation” from Swan Lake, Susan Jaffe’s Soundbars, Le Corsaire soloist, restaged by Li-Chou Cheng, and August Bournonville’s Napoli restaged by Susan Dromisky.
Upon graduation, she relocated to Dallas and immediately became part of the faculty for Park Cities Studios. Caroline continues to discover her passion for dance by teaching and choreographing across the DFW metroplex. She also has discovered her love for fitness and teaches Reformer Pilates. Caroline has been featured in D-Magazine multiple times for her involvement in the fitness community, and was recently voted best Barre Instructor in Dallas by Studiohop. She is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique which promotes safe and effective cross training for dancers.
Caroline has studied the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet syllabus and curriculum created by world-famous Marcia Dale Weary, and applies these methods into her classes. In 2017, Caroline began co-directing the Park Cities Studios Performing company alongside Clair Culin, and continues to choreograph for the company.
